Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 7, 2026

Cash Stash is a free card game. This page explains what information the game collects and how it's used.

Information collected

Cash Stash does not require an account, email address, or password to play.

Analytics

Cash Stash uses PostHog, a third-party analytics provider, to understand basic usage of the game, for example how many games are started or completed, and which game mode is used. This applies across every mode, including Single Player and Local, and is tied to an anonymous identifier generated by your browser, not to your name, email, or any other personal information, since Cash Stash doesn't have accounts.

Automatic tracking of clicks, keystrokes, or screen recordings is turned off. Only a small, fixed set of events is recorded: page loads, whether a game was started or completed, whether an online room was created or joined, and, if the game hits an unexpected error, the error message and its location in the code, so problems can be found and fixed. None of this includes the contents of your hand, the cards in play, or anything else specific to how you're playing. Like most web analytics services, PostHog may also collect standard technical information such as browser type and an approximate location derived from IP address.

Children's privacy

Cash Stash does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
